Clement - the next Liberal Democrat leader?
William Hill is offering odds on Sir Clement Freud being the next Liberal Democrat leader following the resignation of Charles Kennedy. Currently those odds are 500 to one.

Unfortunately, he’s too old to become leader of the Liberals. I know Gladstone was still PM at eighty-five but party leaders are becoming younger, not older. He isn’t even a MP and would have to get himself elected before he could be considered. The campaigning would be too much for Clement at eighty-two year old.
