Saturday's panel

was Paul Merton, Gyles Brandreth, Alun Cochrane and Stephen Mangan.

good to see Stephen on the radio version after doing very well on his TV appearance.

Interesting that Alun has now been on each of the past three series.

Hi Dean, Mon. 7th Jan's double recording at the Radio Theatre BBC had Paul, Graham, Sue and another guest from the tv show Jason Manford. Jason had a few moments in the first show but it was the second recording that he had his baptism by fire. The three stalwarts took their hands off the buzzers and left him in full flow - occasionally repeating himself but very funny and fluent until (Like Peter Jones) he spluttered to a halt.
He was genial throughout even when taking Sue to task over whether the all women chat show 'LOOSE WOMEN' had anything to do with wedded bliss. The audience became more noisy as the shows progressed and when people began whistling their approval, Graham took on a mild Kenneth stance and announced that 'whistling was hardly the way for a genteel Radio 4 audience to behave'. Paul was very kind to Jason when Graham was mock complaining about he had never won a game of 'JUST A MINUTE', Paul pressed Jason's buzzer and whispered that Graham had won more than once. Tilusha told us that the first of these shows will be the first of the new series, even though the 2 Paul and Gyles shows are already in the can. There's another two at the Beeb on the 5th of Feb and two more in Bridlington.
Met Sue afterwards and what a friendly and enthusiastic lady she is. Nicholas flew through the retakes like the professional he is.Paul did another full minute.
Hope it's a great New Year for you.
Lots of Love KEITH XXXX

Great to hear Stephen Mangan is getting another go, I thought he and Ruth Jones were the best debuts on the TV series - which I thought was excellent :)
