new season

They must have recorded about half of the new season by now - so far I've heard nothing.

Anyone with details of recordings and panels - please let me know!

Yes - I didn't receive any details for the last series and e-mailed Claire Jones to make sure that I'm on the e-mail mailing list - she replied that I was. I've not had anything for this series either, yet a Google search a few weeks ago threw up some confirmed dates in London.

I went to a recording last Friday (1st December) in Winchester. We got tickets through their mailing list.

What is this mailing list that Claire Jones runs? I went to the Winchester show as well, but only found it through chance when I was browsing the Winchester Theatre website - managed to get the last two tickets!

I've been searching for a semi-official JAM ticket mailing list for ages and not found one yet - any help would be appreciated.

Oh, and the Winchester panel was CF, PM, Greg Proops (all the way from America...) and Chris Neill.

Yes, that is so annoying as I live in Southampton so could have made the recording in Winchester but only knew about it today so have missed it and have been looking at the BBC radio 4 web site and also the BBC tickets trying to find out when/where I could get tickets so I am really feeling gutted about it at the moment.

All the way from America! Yes.

I found it as I happened to be signed up to the theatres mailing list. I got tickets way back in October.

In Tunbridge Wells last night (5th December) the panel were Paul Merton, Clement Freud, Kit Hesketh Harvey and Maria McErlane. The two shows each ran for around 40 minutes, so some of the more outre gags and running jokes will probably fall out in the edit. Nicholas Parsons was recovering from a cold, but held the proceedings together admirably.

Regarding the response to my #1 comment on this page - Janet Staplehurst used to run a mailing list for recordings but I didn't receive anything for the previous series. I emailed Claire Jones in August and she assured me there'd be an email for this series. (Annoyingly I seem to have deleted the reply I received). No-one seems to have seen one though.

Two shows were recorded last night, December 9th, at the Mermaid Theatre, Blackfriars, with Marcus Brigstocke, Clement Freud, Giles Brandreth and Pauline McLynn. It was up to the usual high standard!
