Clearly my psychic powers are doing well at the moment! That being the case, I'll predict the team for the next recording will be Paul, Jenny Eclair, Tim Rice and someone new, as we have had no newcomers so far this season.

He told a good joke, did Sir Clement; some of them are even clean. In this amusing film, drawing largely on interviews from 2005, the hangdog wit (who died in April) charts his life from school - "atheism, nudity, bullying, gambling and drinking" - to his varied career (chef, MP, columnist, dog-food promoter). With a voice to rattle crockery, he was a master of the dry rejoinder (see how he puts paid to Robin Day), and a combative regular on Radio 4's Just a Minute. It's a candid, sometimes hilarious portrait of an unrepentant individualist.
